During a recent seminar on Halal food in KualaLumpur, HDC CEO Jamil Bin Bidin said the company not only produces food andbeverages but also has logistic and financing services.
He hoped Japanese companies would help to narrowthe gap in Halal supply and demand in the global market.
By positioning Malaysia as a centre of Halaltrade, Jamil said, Japanese companies can look for more opportunities to sellto the global Muslim population of about 1.8 billion.-VNA
