Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has appointed Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob as Deputy Prime Minister while Foreign Minister Hishamuddin Hussein has been promoted as senior minister in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Kuala Lumpur (VNA) - Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has appointed Defence MinisterIsmail Sabri Yaakob as Deputy Prime Minister while Foreign Minister HishamuddinHussein has been prom🔯oted as senior minister in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, both appointments have been presented to KingSultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah and are effective immediately. Ismail will retain the post of Defence Minister while Hishammuddin will assist Prime Minister Yassin in the implementation of the National RecoveryPlan./.
