Son La (VNA) – Police in the northwesternmountainous province of Son La arrested a local man on February 12 forillegally storing 3,200 methamphetamine pills.

The suspect is Vang A Do, born in 1984 and residing in CoSung village, Dong Sang commune, Moc Chau district.

When caught red handed in Dong Sang’s Cham Chay village, Doshot against a group of local police, injuring Lieutenant Kieu Xuan Manh. Hewas overwhelmed and arrested together with the drug pills, a military pistol, amagazine, and four bullets.

The injured officer, meanwhile, was rushed to the Moc ChauGeneral Hospital. He is now in stable condition.
