Mass procession celebrates 70th National Day

Around 2,500 artists and people will attend a mass procession to celebrate the 70 th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the 70th National Day (September 2), announced the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on July 21.
Around 2,500 artists and people will attend a mass procession tocelebrate the 70 th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19)and the 70th National Day (September 2), announced the Ministry ofCulture, Sports and Tourism on July 21.

Theprocession will be preceded by a military march and pass through HungVuong Boulevard and the flag pole at the President Ho Chi Minh’sMausoleum in Hanoi.

It will aim to promote greatnational unity and pride as well as the socio-economic achievements ofsocial classes including workers, farmers, armed forces and businesses.

Vietnam’s culture, cultural identities ofseveral outstanding ethnic groups representing the country’s 54 ethniccommunities, and UNESCO-recognised world cultural heritage sites willalso be highlighted during the procession.

On the occasion, the ministry will hold placard exhibitions in Hai Phong city and Tuyen Quang and Gia Lai provinces.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
