HCM City (VNA) – A mass wedding was held on August12 in Ho Chi Minh City for 41 couples with disabilities.
The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City association ofhair and cosmetology as well as donors and artists in the city.
Together with a free wedding party, costumes, make-up andphotos, the couples were presented with wedding rings and wheelchairs.
Ta The Dat, Vice President of the association, said the coupleshave faced many difficulties. Many of them have had children but could notafford a wedding ceremony.
The donors said they were delighted to contribute to making happy memories for the couples.-VNA
A mass wedding for 50 couples, featuring people with disabilities, was held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 21 by the “Dao Phat Ngay nay” (Buddhism Today) Fund from the city’s Giac Ngo Pagoda.
The programmes have brought about positive changes to rural infrastructure, comprehensively improved the material and spiritual lives of farmers, and contributed to Vietnam's economic restructuring, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.
The festival highlighted the contributions and robust development of Vietnam's revolutionary press over the past century while promoting press products and showcasing the creativity of Vietnamese journalists.
