Meeting finds ways to remove difficulties for Japanese food firms

HCM City (VNA) – The import-exportprocedures and specialised inspections have been reformed in a positive way,making it easier for foreign businesses, including those from Japan, to investin Vietnam.
This was the comment of Japanese firms at a foodmeeting held by the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) in Ho Chi MinhCity on March 20.
Nakagawa, lawyer at JETRO, said many difficultissues raised by Japanese enterprises at the annual event have been reviewedand addressed by Vietnamese ministries and relevant departments to offer morebenefits for businesses.
For example, businesses are now able to maketheir product announcement and take responsibility for their publishedinformation, thus saving time and cost.
Takimoto Koji, chief representative of JETRO inHCM City, hailed the efforts of Vietnamese management agencies inadministrative reforms and business environment improvement through listeningto businesses’ opinions and removing their difficulties, as well as adjustinglegal regulations in a more beneficial way for them.
Participants also hoped Vietnamese ministriesand departments to further improve the efficiency of policy enforcement andensure equality for businesses while investing in Vietnam.
In return, JETRO recommended Japanese businesscommunity regularly update and fully comply with Vietnam’s legal documents andregulations to ensure long-term benefits in the two countries’ economic cooperation.-VNA
