'Meeting Vietnam' conferences start in Quy Nhon

Binh Dinh (VNA) - Fifty scientists from 21 countries and territoriesacross the world gathered in Quy Nhon city, the south central province of BinhDinh on March 25 under the 15th “Meeting Vietnam” (Rencontres du Vietnam)programme.

The conferences themed ‘Search for life on early earth to exoplanet’ are expected to help scientists from different sectors discuss thefundamental questions that inspires scientific passion among scientists,philosophers and general people such as how life appeared and exists on Earthor if there is life on other planets.

The conferences are set to last until March 30.

Since 1993, a series of ‘Meeting Vietnam’ programmes have been held annually inBinh Dinh, drawing hundreds of astronomers and scientists from around theworld.-VNA

PM calls for cooperation with 𓄧Sweden in nuclear energy technology

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
