Miss Sports 1995 set for Mrs World 2011

Nguyen Thu Huong, crowned Miss Sports Vietnam in 1995, will compete in the Mrs World 2011 to be held from December 5-16 in the US, according to the Performing Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The 32-year-old mother of two has worn many hatssince winning her title, including television MC, film actress andbusinesswoman.

Dr Doan Thi Kim Hong, a member of thejudging panel at Mrs World 2008, has been invited to return and chairthe jury for this year's contest.

Hong said the competition will be a valuable opportunity to show the beauty of Vietnam to the world./.

Vietnam re-e♍lected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.
