As many as 400 presents worth 100 USD each were given to households in the most flood-hit areas in the central province of Quang Nam on November 19.
As many as 400 presents worth 100 USD each were given to households inthe most flood-hit areas in the central province of Quang Nam onNovember 19.

The gifts were granted by the RedCross International Federation and Red Crescent Societies through theVietnam Red Cross (VRC).

The province hasreceived more than five billion VND (235,000 USD) in cash and essentialcommodities from the VRC Central Committee, localities and donorsnationwide in 2013. The aid has been delivered to people in disaster-hitareas.

From November 19-21, thousands of peopleaffected by floods in central Quang Ngai province are provided withfree treatment and medicine, particularly for digestive disorders, skindiseases and conjunctivitis.

The provincialHealth Department has also asked local hospitals and clinics toproactively carry out preventive measures to detect and avoid diseasescaused by flooding.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
