More outlets join price stabilisation programmes

The number of outlets selling goods at stabilised prices in Ho Chi Minh City, the country’s largest economic hub, totals 7,579 so far, 646 more than the figure in April when the city launched the price stabilisation programmes for this year.

This year’s programme focuses on fourgroups of goods, including essential foods and foodstuff, basic schoolsupplies, pharmaceuticals and dairy products.

Among them,there are 3,281 sales points selling foods and foodstuff, 219 more thanin April. Thirteen companies open 769 outlets, a rise of 41 for the saleof school notebook, uniforms and school bags. Pharmaceuticals and dairyproducts have also seen an increase of 74 and 312 outlets to 1,193 and2,336 respectively.

This year, the price stabilisationprogrammes drew more participation from local enterprises, and did notuse money from the State budget.

Additionally, Ho Chi MinhCity has also implemented the campaign “Vietnamese people useVietnamese goods”, contributing to increasing the proportion ofVietnamese goods in large supermarkets to 80-90 percent.

Thecity plans to organise various activities to assist businesses inexpanding market and improve their competitiveness while encouragingcitizens to use local products.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
