- Typhoon Kajiki, the fifth to hit the East Sea this year, made landfall in the central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh at 6 p.m on August 25, bringing maximum sustained winds of level 11 (117 km/h) and gusts reaching level 13, the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reported.From 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm, due to the impact of the storm, torrential rains are forecast to hit six northern and central provinces, including Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Tri. - Typhoon Kajiki disrupted air travel in central Vietnam on August 25, forcing the cancellation of 35 flights and the rerouting of 30 others, according to the Civil Defence Command under the Ministry of Construction.Dong Hoi Airport in Quang Tri province suspended arrivals for 12 hours, from 4am to 4pm on August 25, before resuming operations.
