NA Standing Committee agrees higher fuel eco-tax

The fuel industry will see an increase in environmental taxes for most of its products, as heard during the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee’s 36th session on March 10.

According to the revised Resolution No. 1269 passed at the meeting,green taxes on fuel commodities, including petrol (but excluding theeco-petrol ethanol), diesel, and lubricant will increase by 600-2,000VND per litre. The tax will remain unchanged for paraffin, holding at300 VND per litre.

During the function, membersof the NA Standing Committee discussed investment capital forconstruction of the Tinh Phong – Dung Quat 2 road in central Quang Ngaiprovince and the disbursement of revenue generated from consular fees.-VNA
