Hanoi (VNA) – The National Assembly Standing Committee onDecember 10 passed a resolution on the new environment tax rate on jet fuel in2021, under which the rate will be 2,100 VND per litre, down 30 percent.

The new rate will be applied from January 1 to December 31, 2021. Asfrom January 1, 2022, the rate will return to the old level of 3,000 VND perlitre.

The environment tax rate reduction for jet fuel aims to help aviationcompanies overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also on December 10, the NA Standing Committee gave opinions onpreparations for the election of deputies to the 15th NA and all-levelPeople’s Councils for the 2021-2025 tenure.

The committee also looked into the allocation of investment funded bythe state budget in 2021 to projects transferred from 2016-2020 to 2021-2025.

The session concluded later on the day, with NA Chairwoman Nguyen ThiKim Ngan hailing the committee’s efficient work, completing all the workingprogrammes half a day ahead of schedule./.
