Hanoi (VNA) - TheNational Assembly Standing Committee (NASC) opened its 46th meeting in Hanoi on July 13 under the chair of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi KimNgan.

In her opening remarks, the top legislator said the two-day session willgive opinions on a number of contentious issuesin the draft revised law on Vietnamese guest workers with contracts; the amendmentsto the draft law on International Treaties; the implementation of new regulationsin the Law on NA Organisation.

The committee will discuss the review of the NA’s ninth session and make initialcomments on preparations for the 10th session of the 14th NationalAssembly.

A draft resolution of the NASC on environmental protection tax onjet fuel will be submitted for approval; and a decision is to be made on the additionof school textbooks to the list of goods and services subject to State controlin prices.

The working programme also includes personnel work, several decrees, theaddition of funding (from foreign sources) to the State Audit’s administrativeand non-production expenditure estimates in 2020./.
