Hanoi(VNA) – The National Assembly (NA)’s Standing Committee started its 29th session in Hanoi on December 10.

Opening the session,NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that the committee will give ideas onthree major issues – summarising the NA’s sixth plenum and preparations for theseventh; the implementation of legal regulations on policy for members ofVietnamese agencies abroad; and the issuance of a decree on exhibitionactivities.

The committee willconsider and decide six matters, including the adoption of an ordinance on theadjustments and supplementations to some articles of ordinances related toplanning, and the passing of regulations guiding the organisation and operationof the People’s Councils.

Members will discussthe amendments to the programme on building laws and ordinances in 2019 and thepurchase of additional rice for national reserve as well as the provision of moremoney to buy animal medicine for stocking.

They will also evaluatethe outcomes of the implementation of the committee’s external relations andinternational cooperation in 2018, while deciding the programme for theactivities in 2019, along with the committee’s working plan for 2019.

As scheduled, the committee’s29th session, the last in 2018, will take two days and a half.-VNA
