Hanoi (VNA) –National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited naval units stationedin the Cam Ranh military base in the south central province of Khanh Hoa onDecember 17.  

The NA leader held a workingsession with the High Command of Naval Region No 4 and had meetings withofficers and soldiers of the Submarine Brigade 189, Cam Ranh International Port,Brigade 162 and Naval Air Brigade 954.

During working sessions andmeetings, the top legislator commended the naval force on its performance in trainingand search & rescue work during recent storms.

She expressed trust in the force’spolitical firmness and readiness for fight to protect national sea and island sovereignty.

Ngan also talked to soldiers andresidents in Truong Sa town and the island communes of Song Tu Tay and Sinh Tonof Khanh Hoa’s Truong Sa district via a video chat online link. –VNA
