Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has signed a decision on the establishment of a national committee for e-government on the basis of the national committee for application of information technology.

Hanoi (VNA) –
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hassigned a decision on the establishment of a national committee for e-governmenton the basis of the national committee for application of informationte🌟chnology.

Under Decision 1072/QD-TTg, the PM will be Chairman of thenew committee, while Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam will serve as Vice Chairman, and the Minister-Chairmanof the Government Office will be its permanent member and General Secretary. The committee is tasked with researching and proposingguidelines, strategies, mechanisms and policies to create a legal environmentfavourable for the development of an e-Government towards a digital Government,digital economy and digital society, thus facilitating the IndustrialRevolution 4.0 in Vietnam. The committee will also assist the Government and the PM in instructing, coordinating and inspecting theimplementation of tasks and targets to build an e-Government, and sum up andreview the work to report to the Government and the PM. Decision 1072/QD-TTg took effect as from August 28, 2018. The PM also issued the working regulations of the committee,under which the committee will meet once every quarter.-VNA
