Hanoi (VNA) - The National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) and Toyota Motor Vietnam Co. Ltd. on October 7 jointly launched the national film festival on traffic safety 2021.
This year, the film festival will focus on the theme of raising the efficiency of law enforcement to ensure traffic safety.
Agencies, organisations, and Vietnamese citizens currently residing in the country are eligible for the contest.
Award-winning movies will be uploaded to the organising board’s Fanpage, in which the audience will vote for the top 5 most favourite works.
The award ceremony is slated for January next year in line with COVID-19 preventive measures.
This is the third year that Toyota Motor Vietnam has joined hands with the NTSC in holding the national festival on traffic safety.
The biennial event has been organised since 1996./.
As many as 5,182 traffic accidents were reported in five months from December 15, 2020 to May 14, claiming 2,656 lives and injuring 3,788 people, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.
The World Bank (WB) in Vietnam on August 3 published a final report of Road Safety Data Assessment in Vietnam for the establishment of a National Road Safety Observatory (NRSO).
As many as 510 traffic accidents were recorded from July 15 to August 14, claiming 257 lives and injuring 342 people, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.
