Nearly 700 Vietnamese to attend SEA Games 29

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien has approved sending a Vietnamese delegation of 693 members to the 29th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 29) in Malaysia.

Hanoi (VNA) 🉐– Minister of Culture, Sports and T🐼ourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien has approvedsending a Vietnamese delegation of 693 members to the 29th Southeast AsianGames (SEA Games 29) in Malaysia.

Theevent will take place from August 19 to 30, with a flag-raising ceremony held onthe morning of August 17. Vietnam’sdelegation will be led by Tran Duc Phan, deputy head ofthe Vietnam Sports Administration. The athletes are due to compete in 32 out of 38 sports.

The event is viewed as an important step to preparefor the Asian Games 2018 and Olympic Games 2020.-VNA
