Hanoi (VNA) – Cai Lan InternationalContainer Terminal (CICT) announced the launch of a new route for container vesselsACS Cai Lan connecting India, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, China and theRepublic of Korea on June 6.

The operator of Cai Lan Terminal alsowelcomed the 5,023 TEU Hyundai Premium container ship from Hyundai Merchant Marine to theport during the launch.

Founded by an alliance between two leadingcarriers, Hyundai Merchant Marine and Gold Star Line, the new route goesthrough Cai Lan Terminal in northern Quang Ninh province of Vietnam once aweek.

The Cai Lan link to the ACS internationalroute is an opportunity for Quang Ninh province and other northern localitiesto unleash their potential in the marine industry.

Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Nguyen Duc Long said the province will establish a team deliveringstreamlined public administration services at the port and not collect portinfrastructure fees to aid marine-based businesses. -VNA
