- Online shopping is developing strongly in Malaysia,according to local media.

Smartphones are the devices of choice for online shopping among Malaysians, theMalaysian New Straits Times newspaper reported on December 15.

This was also thetrend forecasted for 2017 from online marketplace 11street (www.11street.my), according to 11street chiefexecutive officer Hoseok Kim.

The survey,conducted on over 3,500 respondents showed that Malaysian consumers areincreasingly comfortable with making online payments.

In 2016, the topthree purchase categories were fashion and beauty, electronics, and sports andhobbies.

In2017, consumers are likely to explore home decor and furniture, household andgroceries, and health and supplements, according to Kim.-VNA
