Outstanding Asian artists to display works in Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) – An exhibition of works by outstanding Asian artists will beheld in Hanoi from November 5-25, according to the Department of Fine Arts,Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Atotal of 81 works by 27 artists from 13 countries and territories will be onshow, mostly paintings, but there are also sculptural and installation creations.
Amongthe 19 international artists featured at the exhibition, two each are fromThailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Nepal, Malaysia, Indonesia and India.Meanwhile, Myanmar, Japan, Hong Kong (China), Bangladesh and Australia each hasone artist. The host country has eight artists attending.
Accordingto Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Vi KienThanh, who is also the curator of the exhibition, this is the first timeVietnam has been able to invite leading Asian artists to show their works inHanoi.
Thisis an excellent opportunity for Vietnamese art lovers to see the works ofoutstanding Asian artists, Thanh said, adding that it also helps expand internationalcultural and art exchanges./.
