Hanoi (VNA) – State President Luong Cuong on May 15 attended and delivered a keynote address at a ceremony honouring 500 individuals representing nearly 16 million members of teengagers' and children’s organisations across the country for their outstanding performance in the 2020-2025 period.

The Hanoi event marked the most significant occasion within the framework of the 10th “Uncle Ho Good Grandchildren” national congress. The commended individuals exemplified the spirit of the movement that encourages Vietnamese children to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings.

Party General Secretary To Lam sent flowers and extended his congratulations to the ceremony.

In his speech, President Cuong praised the 500 young delegates as outstanding, exemplary faces, sources of pride, hope, and the bright future of the nation.

Reflecting on Vietnam’s continuous historical journey of generational succession, the State leader expressed confidence that these children would strive further, remain united, and preserve the noble traditions of the heroic Vietnamese people.

Addressing the congress theme of Vietnamese children advancing with confidence into the new era, Cuong emphasised that love for one’s homeland, nation, and fellow citizens is the most sacred affection that Uncle Ho sought to instil in every Vietnamese child. This love, he said, serves as the foundation and motivation for youth to contribute to building a prosperous, civilised, and thriving nation.

He expressed his belief that the 500 exemplary delegates will act as “ambassadors of inspiration,” helping to spark dreams, aspirations, and a spirit of dedication in the younger generation.

The ceremony also featured a special interactive session where the delegates engaged in dialogue with two intelligent robots, offering a fresh perspective on the role of technology as a trustworthy companion in the learning and personal development journey of today’s youth.
