Over 100 cyclists to attend Vietnam Victory Challenge

More than 100 cyclists from 40 teams, including 32 foreign teams, will compete in the first Vietnam Victory Challenge mountain bike stage race to be held in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
More than 100 cyclists from 40 teams, including 32 foreign teams, willcompete in the first Vietnam Victory Challenge mountain bike stage raceto be held in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

The event is scheduled to take place in the resort city of Da Lat fromMarch 20 to March 22, according to the Vietnam Cycling Federation.

The competitors will race in five categories, pro/open men, men 39& under, men 40 & over, pro/open women, and women 18 & over.

The tournament is in celebration of the 40 thanniversary of the Southern Vietnam Liberation and NationalReunification Day (April 30) and encourages people to get involved inmountain biking, said the federation.

It is also aimed at popularising Vietnamese images and improving public awareness of environmental protection, it added.-VNA
