Over 1,700 passengers enter Vietnam on first three days of int’l flight resumption
As many as 1,753 passengers from abroad came to Vietnam on 17 flights between January 1 and 3, the first three days after the resumption of regular international flights.

Hanoi (VNA) – As many as1,753 passengers from abroad came to Vietnam on 17 flights between January 1 and3, the first three days after the resumption of regular international flights.
In a report sent to the TransportMinistry on January 4, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) said the passengers had arrived in the international airports of Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, DaNang, and Can Tho.
The flights were conducted by fourVietnamese airlines (Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, PacificAirlines) and seven foreign carriers (Thai Vietjet of Thailand, Singapore Airlinesof Singapore, Turkish Airlines of Turkey, Starlux Airlines and China Airlines ofTaiwan (China), Emirates of the UAE, and Asiana Airlines of the Republic of Korea).
According to the CAAV plan, Vietnam isset to restore regular international flights in two phases, with the first phasecovering the air routes with Beijing/Guangxi (China), Tokyo (Japan),Seoul (the Republic of Korea), Taipei (Taiwan, China), Bangkok (Thailand),Singapore, Vientiane (Laos), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), and San Francisco/LosAngeles (the US).
Meanwhile, the second phase will see the reopening ofroutes linking with six more other foreign destinations, which are Kuala Lumpur(Malaysia), Hong Kong (China), Paris (France), Frankfurt (Germany), Sydney(Australia), and Moscow (Russia)./.
Regular international flights from/to Vietnam will be resumed in two phases, with air travel with nine foreign destinations to be available again in the first phase and fifteen in the second phase, according to the latest scenario developed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
Only Japan has officially agreed with Vietnam’s plan to resume regular international flights starting next year with four flights a week, the Civil Aviation Authority said on December 23.
