The rice,sourced from the national reserve, aims to support residents of the provincevictimised by natural disasters this year. Theprovincial People’s Committee is responsible for the prompt distribution of therice to beneficiaries in line with regulations. Sincelate June, floods triggered by heavy rains in Lai Chau have damaged manyhouses, roads, as well as rice fields and crops during the harvest season in thedistricts of Tam Duong, Sin Ho, Than Uyen, and Phong Tho, causing losses worth tensof billions dong.
