A Party delegation led by Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee Dinh The Huynh paid a working visit to Russia from September 10-12 to further enhance Party relations. During his stay, Huynh, who is head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education, met with Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRK) Gennady Zyuganov, and had a working session with Andrey Klimov, a member of the presidium of the United Russia Party (ER)’s General Council.
Both sides showed their delight at the development of the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership, while appreciating the important role of the KPRK and ER in enhancing the bilateral ties. The Vietnamese official affirmed that during its implementation of foreign policy of independence, self-determination, and multilateral diversification of international relations, Vietnam always attaches importance to cooperation with its traditional partners, including Russia.
Klimov stressed the need for extra efforts to further the currently fine relations between the two countries. He continued to say that the ER wishes to continue effective implementation of signed agreements, including those relating to popularisation and education work. On this occasion, the Vietnamese Party delegation also laid a wreath at the statue of late President Ho Chi Minh in Moscow and visited the Lomonosov Moscow State University.-VNA
