The Party and State ensure resources for legal training to meet the requirements of judicial reform, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc told a meeting of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform in Hanoi on April 29.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Party and State ensure resources for legaltraining to meet the requirements of judicial reform, State President NguyenXuan Phuc told a meeting of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reformin Hanoi on April 29.
The meeting looked into the implementation of a project on building the HanoiLaw University and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law into key educationalinstitutions for training legal officers, and another on turning the Academy ofJustice into a major training centre for judicial positions.
The President lauded the achievements made in implementation, which, he said,demonstrates these educational institutions’ efforts in promoting their nameand prestige in legal training.
He also identified limitations in the work, saying that due attention has yet tobe paid during training to the ethics and morality in judicial positions.
Phuc urged relevant agencies to create optimal conditions for these educationalinstitutions to expand their operations, improve educational quality, and boostcoordination with courts and people’s procuracy systems.
The meeting also mulled a project on solutions to enhance the control of thequality of legal training.
The President ordered the building of the project in accordance with the orientationsset by the committee, and asked the Ministry of Education and Training to namea specific deadline for the rearrangement of 95 legal training establishmentsnationwide./.
A delegation of the Ministry of Justice led by Minister Ha Hung Cuong is on a working visit to Australia, with a view to enhancing the legal and judicial cooperation between the two countries.
Vietnam hopes for New Zealand’s cooperation and support in training personnel and enhancing capacity for judicial officials to meet international integration requirements.

The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

Under the official dispatch signed on June 20, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and chairpersons of provincial and municipal People’s Committees are requested to concentrate efforts on implementing core measures to ensure the smooth operations of the new administrative framework.
