Philippines hands over fishing vessels to Vietnam

The Philippines has handed over to Vietnam seven fishing vessels, which were seized on May 30, 2011 with 122 fishermen in the sea area of Palawan province, according to the Vietnamese Embassy in the Philippines.

Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tusigned documents to receive back the seven ships from the WesternMilitary Command of the Philippines on Nov. 11.

At 5 P.M the same day, the remaining 34 fishermen of the total 122fishermen left the Philippines for Vietnam on these seven ships.

Previously, 88 fishermen returned home by air after the Palawan province’s court closed its trial of case./.
