Kien Giang (VNA) - A photo exhibition themed “HaTien – Land and People” is underway in Ha Tien town, the southern province ofKien Giang from October 31 - November 4.

The event is part of activities to welcome the announcementof the National Assembly Standing Committee’s Resolution on the establishmentof My Duc ward and Ha Tien city in the province.

On display are 150 photos featuring Ha Tien in the past andat present, achievements made by Ha Tien town over time, thereby depictingefforts of its authorities and people over the past two decades, especiallythose made during renewal and integration period.

Ha Tien is home to a number of scenic spots such as To Chau,Da Dung, Binh San, Thach Dong and De Liem mountains, Loc Tri beach and Hai Tacisland with many pristine islets.

Under the National Assembly Standing Committee’s Resolution, which takes effectfrom November 1, 2018, the city has a total area of 100.49 sq.km with a populationof 81,576 people, and My Duc ward covers 16.96 sq.km and accommodates 9,108residents. -VNA

🍌 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
