AnatolyGoryanov and Kostya Eshov, two Russian visitors, expressed theirsatisfaction at coming to the island, where they can play the sport.
They came here along with their friends to enjoy the nature onthe wild island, while breathing in the island’s pure air.
Eshov said he stayed on the island for three months last year and plans to be here for two months this year.
Falling in love with the sunshine and wind on the island, where hemeets many new friends from Australia, Switzerland and Italy, he intendsto return again next year to somersault through the air and throwhimself at waves on his kiteboard.

Phu Quy Island islocated in the middle of the East Sea. It is surrounded by white sandybeaches and nine isles. The island covers an area of 18 squarekilometres and has a population of over 27,000. It is also animportant in-between logistical destination linking the mainland toTruong Sa archipelago.
About 56 nautical miles from PhanThiet city and near the coastal provinces of Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan andBa Ria-Vung Tau, the island has huge potential for developing seaand island-based tourism, especially resorts, ecological and adventuretours.
Not only does it have great potential forexploiting seafood with large fish reserves, Phu Quy is also famous forits picturesque landscapes and historical sites as well as typicalintangible and tangible cultural heritages of the south-central region.It deserves the description as one of the country’s most attractivetourism destinations.
To fully tap the island’s potential,local authorities focused on repairing and embellishing its historicaland cultural sites, while further developing its infrastructure systemand upgrading roads to tourism areas such as Hon Tranh, Trieu Duong Bay,Ghenh Hang, Mo Thay and Linh Son pagoda.
The locality hasalso created a plan for tourism development from now until 2015, aimingto turn it into its spearhead economic sector, thus contributing topromoting its economic structure change and creating more jobs for localpeople.
Under the plan, the district will continue callingfor investment to better its infrastructure and develop a system of highand medium-speed ships to reduce travel time between the island andmainland.
