Phu Yen hands over Filipino fishermen

The central province of Phu Yen’s Border Guard Command on January 17 handed over two Filipino fishermen who were rescued in Vietnam’s sea to officials of the Philippines Embassy in Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) – The central province of Phu Yen’s Border Guard Command on January 17handed over two Filipino fishermen who were rescued in Vietnam’s sea toofficials of the Philippines Embassy in Vietnam. 

The fishermen were Villardo C. Ruzjr andSeverino Noveras Camposano, both born in 1981 from Salcedo Bansud Or Mindoro.

They wereprovided with health care and accommodation during their stay in the provinceand helped with administrative procedures to return home.

Previously onJanuary 9, the provincial Border Guard Command received the two Philippinenationals rescued by vessel PY-95021TS captained by Nguyen Thai Hung from PhuDong, Tuy Hoa city.

They were spotted andrescued after being adrift near Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago onDecember 24.-VNA.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
