PM orders establishment of hotline 019 – No COVID of Vietnam

Hanoi (VNA) – The Government Office has issuedan official dispatch conveying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s instruction toset up hotline 019 – No COVID of Vietnam.
To step up the application of information technology in the fight against theCOVID-19 pandemic, PM Chinh asked the Minister of Health, in coordination withrelevant ministries and agencies, to establish the hotline and submit to the WorldHealth Organisation (WHO) for global use.
Vietnam recorded 8,681 new COVID-19 infections, including 13 importedcases, in the past 24 hours to 17:00 on September 20, according to the Ministry of Health.
The number of domestic cases was 8,668, down 1,357 infections ascompared to the previous day. It also marked the lowest number of dailyinfections over the past month.
The country has to date logged 695,744 COVID-19 cases, ranking 47thout of 222 countries and territories worldwide in terms of infections per onemillion people./.
A total of 9,137 patients were given the all-clear from coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 on September 19, raising the total number of recoveries to 457,505, equivalent to a 65-percent recovery rate from a total of 687,063 infections.
The Government on September 20 issued Resolution 109/NQ-CP on the purchase of Abdala COVID-19 vaccine developed by the Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Cuba.
