Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has urged localities and competent agencies to accelerate the implementation of transport infrastructure projects, saying they are important to the socio-economic development.

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has urged localities andcompetent agencies to accelerate the implementation of transport infrastructureprojects, saying they are important to the socio-economic development.

He made the statement at a meeting of permanent Cabinet members in Hanoi onJuly 25.

The projects must be constructed quickly and in line with the State’sregulations, PM Phuc said, stressing site clearance must be paid specialattention.

He said the Trung Luong – My Thuan – Can Tho expressway has to be opened totraffic in 2020 and inaugurated in the beginning of 2021, affirming sufficientcapital for the project.

He ordered the Minister of Transport and Chairman of the People’s Committee ofTien Giang province to be responsible for the issue.-VNA
