Bangkok (VNA) –
Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc has welcomed major groups of Thailand such as Thaibev, Amata and SiamCement Group to make big investment in Vietnam.

At a reception for leaders of Thai groups havinginvested in Vietnam in Bangkok on June 23 on the sidelines of the 34th ASEANSummit, PM Phuc suggested them expand investment in high-tech andenvironmentally friendly fields.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese Government willcreate all possible favourable conditions for Thai investors to successfully dobusiness in Vietnam, especially in the realms of the Government’s toppriorities.

Vietnam will not receive foreign directinvestment at all costs, but only welcomes high-tech, environmentally friendlyand energy-saving projects, he stressed.

A leader of the beverage company ThaiBev askedthe Vietnamese Government to support it to invest in other fields apart frombeverages as well as increase its ownership ratio in the SaigonBeer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (Sabeco).

ThaiBev said it will respond to the VietnameseGovernment’s suggestion of investing in waste and plastic treatment, andenvironmental protection.

The Amata group’s leaer wants to invest inbuilding smart cities, while the Siam Cement Group said it will considerinvestment in high technology fields.-VNA
