Bangkok (VNA) – A policeoffice in Narathiwat province, southern Thailand, was attacked on March 30, withone officer died and three injured. Six attackers who were allegedly Islamicmilitants used a Toyota truck to attack the police office at 8 am before thedaily flag-raising ceremony.   The gunmen sped away and the truck wasreported to be stolen in the province’s Sukhirin district the same day.  Thailand’s security agency said theattack might be in retaliation to the Army's extrajudicial killing of twoIslamic militant suspects on March 29. The duo were suspected of being involvedin an attack on a student pick-up truck that killed four people on March 2.-VNA
