The centre cited analysis by managementagencies and social-economic research institutes as saying the city’slabour market will remain stable in the first quarter of 2013.

Somelabour intensive sectors like textile and garments, foodprocessing and services are likely to face worker shortages.

Most workers required by the labour intensive enterprises are unskilled labourers and semi-skilled workers.

In February, enterprises in the city are set to hire 15,000 workers forpermanent jobs. Around 30,000 workers will be hired in March forproduction and business development, the centre said.

It saiddemand for workers, skilled and unskilled, is likely to rise in themechanical engineering, refrigeration, architecture, construction,plastics, property, textiles, leather and footwear industries.

Thedemand for unskilled labourers, semi-skilled workers and those withcollege degrees and higher qualifications is expected to rise by 35, 40and 25 percent respectively.

The centre said labour demand will be higher than the first quarter in second and third quarters.

Some 70,000 new jobs in various sectors including mechanics,information technology, human resource management, marketing and otherhi-tech sectors are likely to be created in each quarter.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
