Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Ministℱer has given 🅺the green light to the pilot establishment of the Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) Chain.

The chain includes two initial members, including the QTSC and the Ho Chi Minh City-based National University’s IT Park which will join hands in building comprehensive infrastructure, raising investment attraction capacity and boosting the development of the IT sector.
It will then admit concentrated information-technology (IT) and software zones, and IT centres to conduct production and business activities in the sector. Its members will receive support from the State budget to develop their technical infrastructure in line with the law.
A management organisation will be formed to supervise the chain’s activities and chart its development strategies. There will be investment and trade promotion activities to polish the chain’s image at home and abroad in order to lure investments, especially those from multinational groups. Established in 2001, the QTSC is one of the key projects in Ho Chi Minh City’s development plan. It has been growing quickly to become the biggest software park in the southern metropolis.-VNA

Vietnam is actively yet cautiously preparing for the construction of its first nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan (now the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa). The resumption of the programme after years of suspension carries considerable significance for the nation’s development in a new era as it strives to gradually reduce and ultimately phase out coal-fired power to realise the Government’s commitment to Net Zero by 2050.
