Project to upgrade Cam Ranh seaport kicks off

The Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) kicked off a project to upgrade the Cam Ranh Seaport in the central province of Khanh Hoa on May 26.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai launched an order to start thework.

The Deputy PM said this is an essential infrastructure work servingthe socio-economic development and the trade of goods of Khanh Hoaprovince, the southern central and Central Highlands regions.

As part of the country’s seaport system development plan by 2020, theproject will also help ease pressure on Nha Trang port, which willprioritise accommodating international tourist vessels in the future, headded.

The project has a total investment of nearly 520 billion VND totallyfunded by Vinalines. Once completed after 14 months of construction, theseaport’s new wharf is capable of receiving 50,000 DWT vessels or30,000 DWT containers./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
