The devices, worth a total of 1.2 billion VND (56,000 USD) funded bythe provincial programme “For Offshore Vessels”, were handed over onApril 1 by Quang Nam’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and BorderGuard Command.
On the occasion, the programme received 700 million VND (32,700 USD) from people from northern Hai Phong city.
Earlier, the programme provided 1.5 billion VND (70,000 USD)to help fishermen repair and buy fishing tools and assist bordersoldiers in difficult circumstances in Cu Lao Cham island commune.-VNA
The programmes have brought about positive changes to rural infrastructure, comprehensively improved the material and spiritual lives of farmers, and contributed to Vietnam's economic restructuring, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.
