Quang Ngai (VNA) – A Philippine national has been saved and delivered to theborder guard in the central province of Quang Ngai after his boat sunk at sea.
On December5, La Van Dang, a fisherman from central Binh Dinh province, and his team-matesrescued the Philippine man, who was drifting on waters near Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago, while they were catching tuna inthe area.
The rescued man is Eduin CPuda Jr, 30, from Bolinao, Luzon province, the Philippines. He said histuna-fishing boat was hit by great waves and sunk on November 28.
On December 10, Dang broughthim to the Quang Ngai provincial border guard high command at Sa Huynh fishingport in Duc Pho district, where he would receive further medical treatment andadministrative procedures.-VNA
