Quang Ninh praised for creativity in implementing Party’s documents

Quang Ninh (VNA) – The northern province of Quang Ninh has been praised for its creativity in implementing theParty’s Statutes (supplemented in 2011) and the Resolution of the Party’s 12th National Congress, thus making achievements in many fields.

The commendation was made byPham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee’sSecretariat and permanent member of the group in charge of preparing documentsfor the 13th National Party Congress, at a working session on March16 with Quang Ninh officials.

Chinh noted the high growth rateof the province, at 7.6 percent each year during 2011-2015, 10.5 percent a yearduring 2016-2018, and expected to average 11.1 percent annually for 2016-2020.The per capita income in the province rose 2.3 times from 2010 to reach morethan 5,000 USD in 2018.

In particular, the province has acceleratedeconomic restructuring in parallel with renewing the growth model and shifting tosustainable development. It has led the country in carrying out the One Commune,One Product programme as part of the new-style rural area building efforts.

Quang Ninh is also at the frontin implementing administrative reforms, piloting many innovative ideas inpolitical, economic, cultural, social affairs as well as in security-defenceand external relations.

Chinh stressed that the experiencesaccumulated by Quang Ninh over the past 10 years are extremely useful in thedrafting of documents for the upcoming National Party Congress.

He also took note of proposalsand recommendations from the province in order to report to the documentdrafting group.
