Hanoi (VNA) – The Red Journey blood donationcampaign 2019 has received over 85,000 units of blood via 265 locations, theorganising board told a conference reviewing its result in Hanoi on July 27.
Dr. Ngo Manh Quan from the National Institute of Hematologyand Blood Transfusion said the drive attracted many donators, especially thosefrom Kien Giang, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Bac Ninh, Lang Son and Hai Duong.
In particular, it also reached poor and ethnic minorityregions.
Over the past seven years, 50 out of 63 cities and provinceshave joined the event.-VNA
The National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) has opened its first fixed blood donation site at Hoan Kiem Health Centr at No 26 Luong Ngoc Quyen street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
The Red Journey voluntary blood donation campaign was held in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on July 14, attract a large number of youth union members, young people, members of armed forces and teachers.

At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach. He noted that the early completion reflects the strong commitment of local authorities, the business community, philanthropists, and residents in improving housing conditions for disadvantaged groups.
The VNA delegation, led by General Director Vu Viet Trang, actively participated in the event, engaging in both professional and diplomatic activities.
