Reference exchange rate adjusted down at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the reference exchange rate at 22,448 VND/USD on April 2, down 10 VND from the last day of previous week (March 30).

Hanoi, VNA – The StateBank of Vietnam set the reference exchange rate at 22,448 VND/USD on April 2,down 10 VND from the last day of previous week (March 30).

With the current trading band of+/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is23,126 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,782 VND/USD.

The rates listed at commercialbanks are also on the declining trend compared to March 30.

The opening hour rates atVietcombank stood at 22,750 VND/USD (buying) and 22,820 VND/USD (selling), bothdown 15 VND from the rates on March 30.

BIDV also listed the buying rateat 22,750 VND/USD (buying) and 22,820 VND/USD (selling), down 20 VND both ways.

Vietinbank cut both the listedrates by 18 VND, buying the greenback at 22,743 VND/USD and selling at 22,813VND/USD.- VNA
