With the current trading band of +/-3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,850VND/USD and the floor rate 22,461 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at mostcommercial banks saw increases.
At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed thebuying rate at 23,095 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,245 VND/USD, both up10 VND from the same time on January 15.
At BIDV, both rates were revised upby 15 VND, with the buying rate listed at 23,125 VND/USD and the selling rateat 23,245 VND/USD.
Meanwhile, Techcombank cut both ratesby 1 VND, with the buying rate listed at 23,095 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,235 VND/USD./.
