Reference exchange rate down on week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,487 VND/USD on the first day of the week (April 16), down 5 VND from the last day of previous week (April 13).

Hanoi (VNA) – The StateBank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,487 VND/USD on thefirst day of the week (April 16), down 5 VND from the last day of previous week(April 13).

 With the current trading band of +/- 3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,165VND/USD and the floor rate 21,721 VND/USD.

The opening hour rate at majorcommercial banks showed a slight drop compared to April 13.

BIDV cut 5 VND from both rates,listing the buying rate at 22,750 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,820VND/USD.

Vietinbank is buying thegreenback at 22,746 VND/USD and selling at 22,816 VND/USD, down 6 VND.

Meanwhile, Vietcombank kept itsrates unchanged from April 13, with the buying rate listed at 22,755 VND/USDand the selling rate at 22,825 VND/USD.

Last week, the referenceexchange rate was on a downward trend on the first two days but then turnedaround to go up on Wednesday. It was kept unchanged on Thursday only to berevised up again on the last working day of the week.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
