Hanoi (VNA) – The daily reference exchange rate for May 16 wasrevised up 20 VND from the previous day, the first rise this week after twodays of going down.

With the current trading band of + /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate appliedto commercial banks during the day is 23,245 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,891VND/USD.

However, the opening hour rates at major commercial banks continued tostand still.

Vietcombank and BIDV kept their rates unchanged for the third day sincethe start of the week, at 22,735 VND/USD (buying) and 22,805 VND/USD (selling).

The rates at Techcombank also stayed at the same level as on the twoprevious days, at 22,715 VND/USD and 22,815 VND/USD.-VNA
