Reference exchange rate revised down 6 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,212 VND per USD on July 29, down 6 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rateat 23,212 VND per USD on July 29, down 6 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied tocommercial banks during the day is 23,908 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,515VND/USD.

The rates listed at major commercial banks saw sharp decreases.

At 8:30 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,840 VND/USD and theselling rate at 23,070 VND/USD, down 40 VND from July 28.

BIDV also cut both rates by 35 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,875 VND/USDand the selling rate at 23,075 VND/USD./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels.
