Reference exchange rate stays unchanged

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam kept the daily referenceexchange rate on January 29 at 22,858 VND/USD, unchanged from the previous day.

With the current trading band of /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied bycommercial banks for the day is 23,543 VND/USD and the floor rate is 22,173VND/USD.

At 8:15 at the transaction office of the State Bank of Vietnam, the buying ratewas kept unchanged from the previous day at 23,200 VND/USD, and the sellingrate was 23,494 VND/USD, down 22 VND from January 28.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,105 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,240 VND/USD, up 5 VND from the previous day.

BIDV kept both rates unchanged from the previous day, listing the buying rateat 23.155 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,245 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, Techcombank raised the buying rate by 5 VND to 23,130 VND/USD andmaintained the selling rate unchanged at 23,240 VND/USD.-VNA
