Hanoi (VNA) - TheState Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate on December 5 at22,757 VND per USD, up 2 VND from the previous day (December 4).
With the current trading band of +/- 3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,439VND/USD and the floor rate 22,075 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks continuedto fall.
Vietcombank cut both rates by 15 VND, listingthe buying rate at 23,245 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,335 VND/USD.
BIDV also slashed 15 VND fromboth rates, listing the buying rate at 23,240 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,330 VND/USD (selling).
At Techcombank, both rates werereduced by 15 VND to 23,225 VND/USD (buying) and 23,335 VND/USD (selling).-VNA
